“Experience life in all possible ways – good – bad, bitter-sweet, dark-light, summer-winter. Experience all the dualities. Don’t be afraid of experience, because the more experience you have, the more mature you become.” Osho
How often do we say to someone (or ourselves), “Don’t be so hard on yourself”?
Usually it’s apt.
But sometimes, it’s a get out of jail free card.
I am not saying that you should dig into yourself when you fail.
I am saying that you should hold yourself to a high standard. That you should be disappointed when you didn’t give it your best shot.
You aren’t here to be mediocre, think mediocre, or do mediocre things.
So, if the occasional disappointment galvanises you into doing better then allow yourself to feel it.
