There are a few ideas that I want to explore in depth in 2019.
One such idea is Breathing Through The Tension or BT3.
Our lives inevitably create tension. Different kinds of tension.
The worry of not having enough money to cover all your expenses.
The unnerving wait for good or bad news.
The anxiety created by dark and desperate times.
In such times the reflex reaction is often to hold your breath (emotionally, physically, spiritually). The anticipation mixed with anxiety paralyses us and prevents us from thinking creatively or creating the momentum that could propel us out of the situation.
Breathing Through The Tension then is cultivating the ability to breathe (emotionally, physically, spiritually) when the tension rises. Being able to sit with the tension, to observe it, to live with it without it consuming you.
