I recently watched a movie on Edward Snowden, the guy who blew the whistle on the NSA spying on basically every phone in the world.
He ends the movie with a line that I thought is really important.
“I have freedom from worrying about tomorrow because I am happy with what I did today.”
I like it for a few reasons:
- It keeps you focused on the now.
- It holds you accountable for what you did. Not what you said you would do.
- It’s a great reminder that our lives will be pretty great if we gave our absolute best in every moment.
For 2019 I want more days that create freedom in the future.
For 2019 I want to end more days with a smirk, knowing that I gave my best.
How about you?
